5 Signs Your Closet Needs a Refresh
Hey y’all, Tyler here.
Let’s talk closets. if yours is feeling more like a chaotic black hole than a calm, international space, it might be time for a refresh. You’d be surprised how much lighter, clearer, and even more stylish you feel when your closet is set up to actually support your day-to-day life.
So how do you know it’s time to call in some ‘Tidy Up Spaces’ help? Here are 5 signs your closet is quietly begging for help:
You have clothes you haven’t worn in over a year - Be honest. If it hasn’t touched your body in 12 months, what are we doing? Chance are, it doesnt fit, doesnt feel good, or you just dont love it anymore. And thats okay. Your closet should reflect who you are now, not who you were three versions ago.
Clothes are constantly living in the wrong place - That sweatshirt doesnt belong your couch or desk chair. Your jeans shouldn’t be on top of your hamper. If items dont have a “home” or their current one doesnt make sense, they end up scattered EVERYWHERE. Thats where systems (and labels) come in.
You take forever finding outfits - If getting dressed feels like solving a Rubik’s cube blindfolded, it’s probably not you. It’s your setup! Proper placement by category, color, and frequency of use can literally cut your outfit decision time in half. NO more digging through mystery piles.
You keep rebuying things you already own - You ever grab a “new” black tee only to realize you already had three at home? If you can’t see what you have, youre not going to use it. An you might just keep overspending on duplicates.
Your closet gives you stress instead of calm - Closets should be the space that makes you excited and feeling ready to start the day, not the reason you’re running late or feeling overwhelmed. If walking into your closet makes you sigh (and not in a good way), that’s your cue to get some professional assistance, aka Tidy Up Spaces.
